When is the W3 coming to Canada?

Anxiously awaiting this tablet. It seems ti be the near-perfect tablet for me (the IGP and WAN arent up to scratch, but oddly enough, I doubt the screen or weight will bother me at all whatsoever), and I've been following it every day for reviews and such for a month and a half. It was released a long time ago, and I'm seeing it plenty all over the US, as the amazon reviews show me. However... Nothing in Canada? Not listed in stores websites even?

When is it hitting stores up here? Anyone have any information at all? :/

I saw both in a local Office Depot last week and the W3 is now listed on the Acer store. The 64 (1416) is also on the Microsoft store at a discount. http://www.microsoftstore.com/store?SiteID=msusa&Locale=en_US&Action=DisplayProductSearchResultsPage&result=&keywords=w3

Just looked and Walmart Canada does claim the 32 GB (-1666) to be in stock. http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/acer-iconia-w3-810-1666-81-tablet-with-full-windows-8/10220868?trail=SRCH%3Aacer&fromPLP=true&ancestorID=alldept&searchString=acer&startSearch=yes&fromSearchBox=true&addFacet=SRCH%3Aacer

Both my W510 and W3 are 32 GB with 32GB SD cards. I just put programs in the main "disk" and data/music/movies on SD cards. Have about 11 GB free on the 510 nad 14 on the W3.

Nice  thing about the 32 GB versions is that the recovery disk is included (have to either  backup  from the 6 GB  partition or order recovery disks from Acer store for 64s).

Thanks for the information! Unfortunately, the news about Office Depot and the Microsoft Store arent useable for me as both the Canadian Office Depot and Canadian Microsoft Store do not display the 64 (or 32) GB models (or any W3).

I did see Walmart Canada, and thats definitely going to stay on my radar for now (but I need the keyboard too...)

Thanks for letting me know of the leftover storage capacity. Do you know if 64 GB microSD cards are compatible with the device too?

64 GB micro SD cards are said to be recognised but I have not tested one as yet. Have a couple of Bluetooth keyboards from Amazon and all seem to work well. Am waiting for a small form factor one with a built in trackpad, part of the reason for a W3 rather than the W510 is that it fits in a pocket and mounts nicely on a dashboard so have no need for an attached keyboard.

When not in car I connet through a KVM and HDMI adapter to a real keyboard, mouse, and 24" 1920x1080 monitor.

Okay good, because if I end up getting the 32 GB version due to the 64 not being in Canada, I'll definitely want to have a 64 GB microSD for my things.

Any word on the bluetooth keyboard that is made specifically for the W3? Smiley Happy

Just received my Transcend 64GB micro-SDXC. It works perfectly.

I just ordered a Logitech DiNovo Mini BT keyboard too.

Awesome, now I know what to do if I get stuck with the 32 GB version. I'll probably get ahold of one of those 64 GB Sandisk Extreme MicroSDs and store my bulky things like my light games (just Maplestory and similar games, nothing the Atom cant handle) and such on it and use that... But I'm really hoping I dont have to do that...

Small FF keyboard/trackpad arrived and works as expected. This can be just dropped in a pocket or on dash & is sutable for W3.

The image link seems to be broken?

Im mainly interested in the official W3 keyboard however.

That is odd it shows up fine for me. Anyone else have a problem seeing ?

Hve two BT keyboards now and this one is really better for a Windows device being 6" x 2.5" x 1/2" and having an integrel trackpad. You do need a microscope to read the user's manual though but is more complete than my other one and even though there is no ay to use three fingers on the trackpad it does work well otherwise.

Yes ... the 64GB SanDisk Ultra MicroSD (the gray and red one) works great in both the W3 and W510 I have ...

    Ted...
