My VG272 monitor audio has stopped working

my monitors audio has stopped working after less than 6 months of having it, this is the second time (my first one was bought through Currys and they refunded me so I bought the new one off Acer) but this seems to have been a mistake as it is unbelievably difficult to contact Acer for a repair or refund. I usually use the audio jack connected to my X rocker chair and the audio doesn't work, it is extremely quiet at max volume on both the chair and the monitor (I made sure the chair still worked testing the other ports with the monitor and then using different devices on the chair). When I unplug the chair the monitors speakers don't turn on either. The monitor definitely has speakers. The part number is UM. HV2EE. V02

Unplug all the wire connected to the monitor including the power cable and press and hold the power button on the monitor for 30 seconds and than check

    Hi Boruto2811,

Did you try to play the files in different media player.

Unfortunately this didn't work, still no audio from either the speakers and the aux is still extremely quiet. Thanks

I should mention I play things using consoles mostly, there is no other media player for them and this problem happened randomly, mid YouTube video. Thanks
