I recently bought an acer nitro 5 an515-55-55dw and noticed that in some gamesthe performance i get are pretty Low for my configuration. I also noticed that both my CPU and GPU while playing this games are under 60% of usage. I currently have only 8 GB RAM, but from what other people are telling me I shouldn't have these performance anyway. For example the main issue comes with Overwatch where with a 3060 laptop i cant reach a stable frame rate of 120 even at Low settings

    @Balatekie Ok I'll try that, anyway my cpu usage at Low Is often under 50% so that can't be the problem. My best Guess Is the RAM since I've only 8 GB of which 3 are used without any app running, however i can't be sure until i upgrade It i guess.
    Yepp... both of our taught sailing in same boat. Before upgrading, try reseating the RAM module once and check.

    Hello!!

    @Wildfastlight

    Sad to know that your are facing gaming performance issue on a Gaming Nitro laptop.

    Make sure that all your games are using the NVIDIA GPU not the CPU integrated graphics. Use NVIDIA control panel and see under 3d settings. Normally games with high graphics, might actually need integrate GPU.

    Additionally, to inform you that laptop 3060 can be different Total Board Power, TBP per OEM and model. Also laptop with 3060 GPU is less powerful. However, NVIDIA don't name them like this. Also the laptops does not RUN well with games out of the box like Xbox, Play Station.

    They need to be configured for best performance. I recommend you to click here for Windows Optimization Guide.

    Hope this helps you!!

    That makes sense. I recommend you to make NVIDIA GPU as default and then check the CPU usage. This might help.

    If unfortunately issue persists, I recommended you to try uninstalling & re-installing the game, after setting NVIDIA GPU as default.
