    Hello, Wolvenstorm

To know the exact model of your machine just check the bottom part of it. There you'll find the exact model and other information such as the S/N and SNID code as well.

Well, I only got a chance to know what ram was inside of my laptop by opening it. My laptop is the same as yours, same model and same specs. So I reckon it might have 2 sticks of 4 GB ram or maybe it could just have 1 stick of 8 GB ram though, that's somewhat unlikely I think, since it's important to have both slots occupied. Now, I don't know why exactly that's the case but I can only image it might be to give the machine a better overall performance or better usage of ram or something along those lines.

Gr8 mate ty for the info.I will wait then and check what is inside.I will most likely go for 16gig of ram I saw that 2900 is the max mhz for the CPU If I`m not mistaken. If it is indeed 2x4 gig i will get a new set of 2x8.(I have 2x8gig 2130mhz from the one that curently using)How is your laptop btw are u happy with the performance.

(TL:DR) on the bottom of the post

It's ok I guess. I feel like where I bought my machine, they were promoting it to seem as it is a more powerful than what it actually is. And for example did you know that you're not supposed to use this as laptop? I mean you can do that but the thing is the performance when this isn't connected to the power supply is mighty awful, you can not run any modern game properly without plugging it in. And even when playing older games, the battery on this thing is just not good. The place were I got this said that the battery could hold up to 7 hours but that's just not true. I just found out recently, that it doesn't really matter all that much. Using the computer while having it plugged won't jeopardize it's longevity but still, saying that it has a battery that's lasts 7 hours when it really doesn't it's just no good.

As for the other things I haven't tried any very recent games, the games that I tried were: ARMA 3, Fallout 4, Verdun and Enlisted. Of all these,  Enlisted is the one that performs the best, there's a few dips here and there but it's not all too bad, the worst is Verdun the performance in that game is very inconsistent I get between 120 fps to 70 fps, I know the performance is still quite high but those frame drops are very annoying regardless specially because Verdun is multiplayer game that's very hardcore, requires you to be very accurate and all that stuff. Then ARMA 3 and Fallout 4 performance is fairly inconsistent too but not as bad as Verdun.

Another somewhat annoying thing that I found about this pc it's the fact that it is very, and I mean very loud. It literally sounds like it's about to cause a nuclear explosion though I've told that's normal but again that doesn't make it any less annoying. I can even hear the computer when I'm using my headphones.

Well overall it ain't a bad machine but for the description they were giving and for the price it costs, I was expecting it to fair a bit better. I don't care if 1000 quid is considered low budged, 1000 quid is a pretty premium price for a gaming device like this if you ask me. Just to think that you could get either one of the new consoles that came out and that you could get around the same performance with decent graphics and all for half of the price, kinda makes me think I'm a bit stupid for having bought this in the first place. Consoles have some issues of their own obviously like paying to play online for example, but so do pcs as well. This machine will be undated in around 2 years probably less than that, the current ps5/xbox will definitely last longer than that. But enough of this rabbling.

This is an alright pc nothing crazy about it, I'll simply end on that. Wolvenstorm, I hope you can enjoy your time with it.

    Take care.

Thanks for the info mate.I kinda researched it before I bought it.Battery on gaming laptops almost never give you a good performance unless is a really expansive model with really strong battery.I already have a gaming laptop and kinda know the downsides of it.You are right about the consoles they are not that expensive and can definitely deliver but some of the games I play are not even on Consoles (World of warcraft etc.)Fans on my current laptop can be loud as well especially if f u allow the cpu to boost on maximum.I use throttstop to reduce some of the heat on my laptop another thing is not to keep the pc all the time on performance mode even thou most guides recommended cuz that makes the cpu boost on max all the time so the fans go loud too .I use external speakers or noise cancelling headphones otherwise the fans can be a ***** yes but there are a lot horses under the hood of gaming laptops its hard to keep em chilled. Cheers :)
