Battery not charging - predator helios 300

Hi everyone, predator helios 300 owner here. I've had my laptop for almost a year now, and haven't experienced any problems until recently. occasionally while I was gaming, my orange and blue battery lights would start flickering and the laptop wouldn't charge. The same happened today and I turned the laptop off, but now the laptop won't charge and the blue and orange lights keep flickering. I'd appreciate any help and am willing to provide any more information. Thank you

    Check your battery wear percentage with hwinfo or battery bar pro if more than 20/25% consider replacing it also check your adapter with a voltmeter to make sure its not faulty you can also uninstall the acpi driver perform a battery powerdrain followed by a bios setup defaults in case its a software issue that could be solved if its hardware related and youre still under warranty contact acer support and send it back to get it diagnosed also its normal on heavy usage for the battery to kick in to aid the adapter with more power when this one cant provide enough to the cpu/dgpu thats the battery main purpose and it will trickle charge when under 95% either way good luck :)

    Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. I've checked the battery wear and its about 17 percent, so I dont think thats the issue. Im worried that my adapter may not be working properly because we had a voltage fluctuation issue a while back in the house. I don't really have a voltmeter on hand, and I cant approach customer service since there aren't any official acer establishments where I live. I'll try getting the adapter checked and see if the problems there. Again, thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

    Hi Mmbbtt,

    1. Power OFF the unit.
    2. Unplug all the cables.
    3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
    4. Turn ON the unit and check.

    Right everyone, first of all I'd like to apologize for being a bit of an *****. I didn't consider that the problem may be in the power outlets in my room, and once I plugged it in for charging in an extension cable on a different floor it worked perfectly. I would also like to thank everyone who took the time out to help me because I was getting quite worried. Hope all of you have an amazing day.

    Hi guys, sorry to disturb you again but im facing a different type of problem this time. My fans seem to be making some sort of weird noise, which they weren't before today. I've been told that this could be dirt accumulation in the fans, so I was just wondering if I could open it up and clean them out myself. Any help is appreciated, and as always thanks.

    That depends on which country youre in and if you have warranty stickers/seals because if so you cant open it it would void the warranty (assuming its still valid) if you dont have any you can open it as long as you dont damage anything in the process and clean the fans properly along with the exit airflow and dont forget to lift the back 2/3" for a proper airflow also at this point i would get some kryonaut or similar and would also repaste it ( the safest and more accurate to me its the spread method only a thin layer covering both diodes its enough too much its bad same as less) either way good luck :)

    It was a voltage drop issue in the electricity sockets, the same charger is working just fine now. Thank you for the advice, much appreciated.

    Okay everyone, let me start by saying that I'm sorry for being a little bit of a moron. I didn't think to check whether there would be a problem with the power outlets in my room, but it was fixed once I connected it to a different floor's extension wire to charge. Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone that helped me out because I was starting to become rather scared. Have a fantastic day, everyone.
