PH315-54 Why is my system temperatures so high?

I don't get this. In Predatorsense, even doing the most basic of things my laptop's system temperatures (I assume this is a reading on the motherboard) get quite hot. It's even hotter than my CPU and GPU temperatures most of the time when gaming for long periods. My CPU and GPU temperatures are actually excellent. And during long gaming sessions, they almost never pass 75. But it's a different story for my system temps. This laptop is brand new. I already have it undervolted. The fans are running. Model number is PH315-54. This image is after a four hour long gaming session. I've seen it got as hot as 88. Even at idle or doing basic web tasks this temperature reading is usually around 75.

@Fateism personally i wouldnt worry much about the system temp  best case scenario would just be a bug i would be worried only about the cpu/dgpu but if you feel u need to get it sorted you can try a battery powerdrain followed by a bios setup defaults (just to make sure its not just a bug in the bios) also check your drives temps with hwinfo/hw monitor as the system temps are impacted by that also  otherwise if the issue still remains contact acer support explain the situation exactly providing the necessary proof and send it back for them to check it out either way good luck :)

Yes, it has a thunderbolt 4 port. The laptop is awesome. I'm liking it so far. My two main grips with it so far are the hot system temperatures (but it's better than my CPU or GPU thermal throttling I guess), the fact that I can't undervolt it (I updated the bois before attempting to undervolt so that might be why), it was a pain to open, and my installed Nvme drives didn't appear in windows boot despite the bios recognizing the new drives. If anyone figures out how to unlock undervolting on this model, please let me know.

One reason the bios should never be updated unless it states in the notes that would fix the particular issues the user is having apart from that no need to update ever also disabling windows updates completely either via regedit or using windows update blocker  (very neat and useful tool) and only update whatever you need when needed manually  :)

That's fair and normally I think that's the best way to go about it. The reason I updated my bios despite not having any problems with the laptop is because the BIOS, from what I read in the update, increased the power (wattage I assume) on my GPU. And given how dependent the 3000 series GPUs are with wattage, that's free performance being left on the table. But it also locked me out of being able to undervolt it, which sucks.

Well as we use to say one thing or the other most probably they will unlock the undervolt in the bios in the next updates hopefully :)

:+1: I can not wait for the next bios released to unlock this CPU, so we all can undervolt and reduce temp! Please let us know if you know when it will be released?
