Recently bought nitro 5 (2021) and realised that there are some black bar space on the left and top sides of screen, my right side is perfectly fine tho, searched the internet for solutions but could not find one. Any help/advice will be appreciated!!!

    Hi @Bibhusan
check if there is a pin 📌hole at the bottom of the unit. Put a small pin inside and press and hold the pin for 30sec.  If there is no pin hole then press the power button for 12sec. Remember to remove your charger when you do that.

I gave it a go, didn't do anything, thx for the suggestion tho!

See if tweaking in NVidia Control Panel helps... this would help only if laptop is on. Or it could be that your laptop usable screen extends only to that portion of display cutout.

Open a new thread, and post what all you did to resolve. Not all laptops need the same solution.

The caption pictures that you have included above show nothing, what sort of "black bar on left and top of screen" are you getting??? I've got the same exact laptop and my laptop has always worked perfectly, if you have any black bars or lines on the screen, then it could be a driver problem, do a hard reset taking the main battery out, disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and short its mainboard plug, leave the laptop like that for 15min and reconnect everything and reboot laptop, see if that resets the laptop screen.

If not then its a hardware problem and comes from either the eDP cable that connects the mainboard to the screen that its plugs or its data cable is damaged, or the mainboard plug where the eDP cable plugs into, its data pins are damaged, or the screen is faulty. Have these aspects of your laptop checked by an experienced technician that has experience in laptop screens.
