I bought the Nitro AN515-55 last year and I would like to increase its memory since it has only 8 gigs on it right now. I am not sure if doing it on my own will void my warranty or is it fine? Also, if anyone can help me out where I can get an 8 gigs RAM that's compatible to the model I mentioned above, it will be great. Thanks in advance!!

    Hi
    I have same model.
    It runs at 2933mhz.
Basically look for a 8GB SODIMM that has a JEDEC profile program in it for running at 2933mhz.
There are two types of “memory speed standards “
They are called JEDEC and XMP
The nitro (and most other laptops) use the JEDEC standard.
You need to find memory that has a ‘JEDEC PROFILE’ of 2933 otherwise it will default to the next speed (profile) which I think is 2666.
Basically it will run at 2666mhz instead of your laptop default 2933mhz.
Be careful because some memory provider (crucial ballistix) will advertise their memory as DDR4-3200 but their memory will only run at that speed on XMP profile and their default JEDEC profile DDR4 2666.
