Just upgraded RAM on my Mother's old laptop with new 2x4Gb 1600 MHz Kingston kit. CPU-Z shows, that system still works in Single chanel on 800 MHz. If this laptop really supports dual channel mode? Should I use advanced BIOS options to ajust frequency and double channel work and how to do that? Actual Motherboard Acer EA70_BE with AMD K16 IMC rev 00 and AMD Kabini FCH rev.8.2. Thx in advance.

Hi Scotch2021,
The ranks of the RAM has to match if you want it to run in dual-channel. You can use HWiNFO to find the voltage and rank, and other information as well.

Thank you for your comment, but the match is not the point. Memory kit provides absolutely matching RAMs.0
