    Hi,
Could you please post the full model name, however, if you have a reset pinhole(3 in my snip) at the back, switch off the laptop, disconnect from mains and follow the instructions in the video, let the laptop to rest for 15-20 Mins, reconnect the AC adapter and fully charge the battery before start using.

Hi, sorry to hear it. Try the below steps and post your results.

    Power Drain and BIOS RESET

    1) Unplug the AC power adapter.

    2) Press and hold the Power button down until the unit goes off.

    3) Search for a pinhole that has a battery symbol next to it on the backside of your laptop, insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole, press and  hold it down for 25 seconds. Then release the paperclip and turn the unit back to normal position.

    4) When the unit is off completely, press the power to turn on the unit.

    5) Immediately keep on tapping the F2 to enter the BIOS.

    6) In the BIOS, press F9 to reset the BIOS to setup defaults.

    7) At the confirmation screen, press Enter for Yes to load the default configuration.

    8) Press F10 to save your changes, and restart the system. Select Yes and press ENTER to confirm.

Try this and post your results.

Hi! Thank you for responding. So I did as you instructed and my unit did restart by itself like you said on the last step. However, it’s still stuck on the logo and it’s been 30min 😭

@needhelpplshelp you really should start a new thread with your problem. This one is well over a year old. Make sure you include you model number (something like SF3xx-xxx-xxxx), what's happening with it and what you have tried so far.

@Easwar I've had the same problem with a black screen and my cursor showing up too! My laptop is the nitro 5 AN515-52 series, model number N17C1. Do I need to take it for repairs somewhere?

The black screen with a cursor is usually the EFI shell. Start a new thread (use the Ask a Question button) and mention your model number AN515-52. Let us know what OS(es) you are running and what you have tried so far. Also, which processor, how much memory and what size and type of drive.

@Axola, it's best if you start a new thread for your issue. Please include the full model number (something like SF3xx-xxx-xxxx), what is happening and what you have tried so far. Do you have the charger connected? Does the battery indicate show a full charge or does it show charging?
