8GB to 32GB (40GB) RAM Upgrade for Acer Predator G3-710

Hello everyone,
I wanted to upgrade my RAM from 8GB to 32GB or to 40GB if it's even possible. I already had two 4GB RAM sticks build in, so I bought two new sticks with 16GB RAM each. When I put them in without removing the old ones, the computer doesn't recognize the new ones and seems to work slower and have still 8GB of RAM. If I take out the old ones out and put the new ones in, the computer won't start but make a beep noise. Does anyone know, what can be the problem here? (PS.: Im new to this hardware stuff, so I don't know much about it. And sorry for my english, I'm still learning)

Old RAM sticks code:
SKhynix 4GB 1Rx8 PC4 - 2133P DDR4

New RAM sticks code:
SKhynix 16GB 2Rx4 PC4 - 2133P DDR4

CPU:
intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz

GPU:
GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5

I should also add, the CPU-Z Software seems to detect the new ones when I put them nex to each other, but the 8GB RAM remains unchanged.

    The two 16GB modules need to be in slots 1 & 2, the 4GB in slots 3 & 4.

Thank you for your amswer. The thing is, I only can put the 16GB sticks in slot 2, 3 and 4, because the sticks are a bit higher than the 4GB sticks and in the first slot there isn't enough space to do it. Is there any other solution?

Not really short of replacing the two new sticks with ones that are slightly shorter. The memory table doesn't support using mixed memory except in the correct order.
