Hello, I'm using Acer Extensa 215-53G, I have problem about overheating on my laptop, i bought a fan cooler but the CPU keep getting so hot. And i can't handle basic games. Is there way to change my CPU with new one? I really do not like this laptop at all and i can't get any support from Acer about it. Can you guys help me out?

What CPU/GPU temperatures do you see?

Idle'ing around 70-75C On basic gaming around 85-90? (CPU)
Idle'ing around 50C On basic gaming around 65-70 (GPU)...
Can you explain whats wrong? I took this laptop 3 months ago, there's cant be that much dust. Is Thermal Paste forgotten to put in?

    CPU: Intel i5 1035G1
    GPU: NVIDIA MX330

Is there way to undervolt my locked CPU? It gets really hot and i can't get back my money so i have to deal with it.
I can't handle basic games, its getting too hot and reducing my FPS.

Sorry. Newer laptops run hotter than older models. Anything below about 94*C is considered normal under heavy gaming loads. Throttling may appear on heavy load between about 92-95*C. If you have any non-Microsoft background antivirus running (not needed for most users anymore), CPU idling 70*C is expected. GPU idling at 50*C normal. Unless screen throttling appears, nothing seems wrong.

I mean i got a cooler running at 1000RPM below my laptop, if my cpu runs hotter doesn't that mean my cpu will die faster?

I want to make it lower as possible, its not a great laptop. I do not want to lose performance too, any hope for undervolting?

This is doesn't make any sense my laptop's max temp is 100 and 94C is too hot, its just sound like an scam what if my laptop just lives a few months more?

You're risking more problems trying to undervolt. Here's the temp values from the specsheet. You haven'pushed the machine hard enough to even reach above 90*C. If you're not seeing throttling behavior, you're no where near 92-95*C.

The laptop has shutdown itself one time while gaming due Max Temp. And the game wasn't heavy, it was ROBLOX (lightest game) on lowest graphics, can you tell me its just a bad model of CPU and gets hotter and nothing to do about it? Because for a fact i know that Hot cpu dies faster than Normal Temp CPUs

Because its a locked CPU (and thats sucks) i can't undervolt and make the lifetime longer, thats my third Acer product and i was proud being a Acer user. But what i see is just seems like an scam... Due locked cpu, i cant overclock it either. XTU (Intel Extreme Utititly) does NOT work on this CPU either. I used Thottlestop for reduce the heat, it worked but my performance down like crazy. I couldn't load even a page. Its an i5 CPU and it has to be powerful at least (It has 4 cores, 3.6 GhZ Speed) but because of the heat it keeps reducing my fps, around 40-50 Fps lower. I tried everything to make it less hot. I managed to make it down 95 to 85-90 C but you know its not enough, My older acer laptops working on 65-70C even on heavy load maximum CPU Temp was 75-80. Can you actually explain me how to reduce the heat? I'm ready to do anything about it (without losing performance)

Also the numbers you said isn't "normal", i just googled a gameplay video on this CPU and it was getting 70 to 85C same specs way more heavier game. (GTA V, CyberPunk 2077, ETC.) I still have warranty on btw.

It's really annoying. Did the fan work normally? You may check the heat sink.

To avoid unexpected data loss due to CPU overheating, it's necessary to make a backup for vital files in the hard drive to keep them safe.

If it's still under warranty, arrange for warranty repair service by clicking on this link, choosing your country, clicking on the support link at the top of the regional page, and enter your serial number id. Or if you want to be more daring, try this suggestion.

I have the Acer Aspire A315-57G and I modified the laptop BIOS 1.11 to allow undervolting. Here is the link https://www.reddit.com/r/Lenovo/comments/id0457/guide_to_reenable_undervolting_after_latest_bios/?sort=new
This is for Lenovo laptops, however I went through the same procedure and now I am able to happily undervolt my CPU. GPU undervolting was always supported, use MSI Afterburner.

Thanks for suggestions, but none of them did not work. Still my laptop getting heat.

I do not wanna open up back since it will break warranty's rules. I don't wanna lose it because i will sell the Laptop sadly, and never use type of that laptop again :) (I suggest you too to don't, other models of Acer as example Predator and Nitro seems better.)

I decided to build my own desktop, thanks for help tho.
