No legacy boot mode for w510 ? If yes I will never buy acer again

w510 is a good tablet except it is spoilt by the lack oflegacy boot mode ? Can you confirm it really cannot have it ? If yes I do not intend to buy any acer tablet any more as this was hidden to me.

Note : I was able to desactivate secure boot but this is not enough to be able to have dual boot.

    Per Intel specifications connected standby enabled devices cannot have legacy boot mode (UEFI CSM). This applies to every Atom tablet, not just W510. Dual boot is still possible with UEFI aware operating systems. Unfortunately no Linux distribution currently offers a 32-bit edition with UEFI support.

    My understanding was that you had to Create a system password, Erase the library, then turn Secure Boot off and must be in that order.

     

    The issue is that so far only Windows 8 has the power management controls required for a ventless design. I heard that Ubuntu was working the issue but had not yet heard that it worked.

    ps I have booted from several USB devices, Windows to Go is designed for transportable use.
