I recently bought the Acer Nitro 5 2020. At first, even when my laptop is unplugged, the FPS in-game seems to be fine. But as time passed, I have had this laptop for a week now. When it is unplugged, it will immediately fps drop. But when it is plugged / charged, fps seem to be fine. I have done all of the necessary things to bring back my fps again (went to the nvidia control panel, battery high perf. and high performance in nitrosense.) How to fix this? How to regain my good fps again while unplugged / on battery. Please I need help.

Generally frame rate will be bad when unplugged as there isn't enough power to run everything. I think there are options inside the Nvidia gforce experience app for how it performs on battery but it will not match what it can do on ac!

Thank you so much! This helped a lot! I ran the Nvidia gforce experience app and saw that my battery was limiting my fps to 30 when not charged. Again thank you!

Great glad it was the battery saver :D! Bit of a warning that the battery will be hammered and it can be bad for the health :) If its now working as it was before GFE slowed the frame rate hit the solved button and enjoy the game  :D
