Aspire A515-56 webcam not working

I have an Aspire A515-56 laptop that I got in December 2020. The computer couldn't connect to the webcam during a Zoom meeting today. Some Windows troubleshooting results in error code 0xA00F4244 <NoCamerasAreAttached>. There is no camera listed in Device Manager. I don't use the cam very often but I'm sure I must have played with it when I first got the machine so it worked at some point. The system is currently up to date. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks to all.

    Hi Paublo,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Unplug the charger.
    3. At the bottom there will be a tiny pin hole with battery sign close to it take a pin or paper clip and insert into it hold that button for 20-30 seconds. Then turn ON the unit and check.

Thanks Easwar. I haven't tried that but I did reset WIndows and loaded a fresh version. I ran through various troubleshooters. I spoke with two Acer techs, one of which told me the webcam driver is part of the VGA driver. I downloaded the version he advised and still no luck. We've determined it's a hardware issue that needs to go back to Acer to repair. I'm not anxious to do that... I'm considering just buying an external webcam for < $50 and be done with it. I appreciate the suggestion.  Paublo.
