I have already tried the pinhole method multiple times but my laptop is still not turning on. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi Thermadyx,

Is your unit battery was charged enough.

Did you do the whole battery reset procedure with the pinhole, or did you just press the switch? The whole process usually takes a few hours.

I pushed the pin down for about 10 seconds and I let it sit for about 15 minutes then I plugged the charger in and held the power button for 10 seconds and nth happened

OK, you skipped a bit there. After sitting for the 15 minutes you should plug the charger in but wait for the indicator saying the battery if fully charged (usually a blue light). Then just turn it on normally. Holding the power button is usually reserved for turning it off when stuck in sleep mode...

    Hi Thermadyx,

Are you getting any light indication when charger is connected.

Recently, my laptop (SF314-42) charger broke and I had to order another charger which I did from the Acee website. After waiting days for it to come, it finally arrived and I realized that my laptop won’t turn on. I am having the same issues the people above are having, the blue light flashes 5 times and the laptop won’t turn on. Usually, after I plug my laptop in the charger it turns on immediately but that’s not the case. I have tried the pin in the reset charger buttons and I have tried to hold the power and volume buttons, but nothing seems to work. I do not have a batter to remove so I am stuck. I received this laptop as a gift from my sister who purchased this from Amazon in September 2021, I’ve only had this laptop for a few months hence it’s July 2022, not even a full year yet but I’ve been told it’s out of warranty. After being told it’s out of warranty I was sent to a website that told me I had to pay for an online consultation which makes no sense. Hopefully, you guys can help!

There is a battery reset pinhole on the bottom of your SF314-42. Shutdown the laptop and disconnect the charger and anything else you might have plugged in. Use something like a bent paperclip to press the reset button and hold it for 30-60 seconds. Release the button and wait for at least 15 minutes, then plug only the charger back in. Wait for the charge indicator to show a full charge, then turn the notebook on normally. Let us know if that doesn't work...

Hi! I tried what you told me to do last night and it still didn’t work. I tried turning it on after it’s been on the charger all night and I still see the 5 blue flashing lights. What’s next?

How long did it go between when the charger failed and you got the new charger in? Is there a chance the battery has fallen below the minimum threshold?
