Wirless problems/Driver installation problems

I have a acer v3 471 running windows 7. Lately my wireless has not been working properly, constantly disconnecting and the only solution is to reset the router but then it would happen again a couple minutes later. I have multiple computers/devices that connect to the same router and they all work fine without connection drops. I checked for new drivers on the acer website and found a newer version. But I can't seem to install the driver, I get an error message: "There is no driver selected for the device information set or element". I dont know if updateing my drivers would fix my wifi connection but I dont know any other solution for it.

EDIT: Current drvier version is 10.0.0.234 (11/03/2013)

On the downloads page you should see a hardware identification utility. Grab that and double check that you are download the right driver for your unit. Short of that, you might want to download the driver and then delete the old one before trying to install the new. Even if it doesn't work you can reinstall the original by using the erecovery software provided by acer (not a recovery, I really do mean reinstall the driver alone). Actually you might want to give that a shot anyway.

I uninstalled my wireless driver, and tried installing the latest driver and it keeps saying failed to install driver, so now I guess I have to system restore/erecover.

Would have to agree with you, something is stopping the driver from installing and an eRecovery should solve that.
