Hello,

I just bought a new monitor, the Acer B227Qbmiprx, and the colors are different from my old monitor. The old monitor, my old notebook and my current smartphone showed all the same colors. Now, I can only see these colors on my smartphone.

1. On my website, I use a very light pink, but this is almost not visible on the Acer monitor.

2. Also, the blue of my images is darker and not as bright as they used to be. The same goes for other colors like orange.

I bought a SpyderX Pro to calibrate the monitor, but it is not improving the colors.

Has anybody advice to solve this problem?

I would love to hear it. Thanks!

We need to determine whether it is  a monitor issue or computer issue.    Try to connect the monitor to a different computer and check ..   If it is working fine on a different computer then you might have to reinstall the display drivers on the existing computer.

If you face the same issue on the other computer then Use the control buttons of your monitor and try to do a monitor reset ..  Check the manual for clear instructions..

If it is still not working and since your laptop is in warranty you can contact the warranty dept.     Go to the website support.acer.com - chose your country.  On the new page - scroll down -  click on "contact support".  Scroll down.  You can find the phone no to contact the warranty dept.

Click on "Like" if you find my answer useful

Click on "Yes" if it answers your question.

Please click YES if I answered your question

I am not an ACER employee

    Hi William,

    Thanks for your reply.

    1. How can this be a computer issue? The colors were fine on the old monitor - and exactly like two other displays.

Now the new monitor on the same computer gives different colors.

So this must be a monitor problem.

    2. You other advice is to do a monitor reset and check the manual for clear instructions. However, the manual is very unclear and incomplete. It does not explain how to reset the monitor. Nor does it explain the menu of the monitor that has different options, such as several modes

    3. It is not a laptop I am working on, but a monitor for a desktop.

    Hello,

I have searched the internet for more information, that is not in the manual. I found amongst others this thread on reddit:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/a4ehm7/color_profile_for_acer_kg241p/

Using the calibration tool has helped, learning more about the settings by looking for information on the internet helped also - and after tweaking the monitor, the colors seem OK.
