Hi,

I got my new Predator Orion 3000 PO3000-620, i7-10700F, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, RTX3070 just a few days ago and startet playing r6 on ultras today. Within the first round I recognised the CPU temp solid rising up to 95*Celsius. At point where it hit the 100 degree I stoped playing. Are these temperatures normal? And are there anyways to fix this?

Thanks for usefull answers, David

P.s: GPU and System temps were around 40-50*C.

    Hi Masseracker85,

Did you adjust the Fan speed in the unit to reduce the heat.

These temperatures are normal considering the thermal paste, CPU cooler, fans and the very restricted air intake and exhaust designs Acer decided to use. For a "normal" case these temps are unacceptable. CPU is not supposed to throttle because of high temperatures.

You can easily lower the CPU temps by replacing the original HSF and thermal paste between CPU and the cooler. There are many posts about this on this forum. Some are harder to do, but some are very easy and cost efficient. The easiest would be just to replace the HSH with an aftermarket one.

I ran the pc on auto and in the gaming mode, in both modes it hit the 100degrees. I also tried to reduce the heat by adjusting the fan speed in the custom mode but this didn't really helped too. Next thing I'm gonna trie is replacing the fans as @GotBanned said too.

Of course you can replace the case fans, but to lower the CPU temps you may have to replace the original heatsink with a new one. (I would start with this.)

THIS is just one of the threads on this forum talking about how to do this. There are few models that I know will work, but there must be more. Before ordering anything browse the forum at least 3 or 5 pages pack. Hopefully users who have done this will chime in and give you their recommendations.
