Acer Nitro5 Screen Not Working

Hi All,

After overloading my Nitro5 while trying to edit a huge video file in Premiere, my screen stopped working! I've tried everything to fix it - resetting the battery, restarting, etc. I now have to connect to an external monitor to use my computer. The speakers & keyboard lights still work. I believe I can see a slight backlight coming from the screen - see the below photos. What's the best option to fix this screen? Do I just need a new cable or is a full screen replacement needed? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks 🙂

    Hi Drick,

Check that you can get the BIOS page.

    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.

If you can disassemble your laptop by yourself, you can try to disconnect and reconnect the display cable. If not, you can take it to a computer repair shop and let them either replace a new screen or fix the cable.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!
