So I have the no bootable device and I’m not sure what to do nitro 5 an515–52

im on the acer nitro 5 an515–52 I know it’s dusty. It all started when I took the bottom off around 4-5 days ago Andy just blew off some dust not really pressing hard on anything and when I put the screws in and turned it on it said no bootable device.

    Turn on the computer, tap f2 - go to bios - on the info menu - check whether  the hard disk drive is getting detected..   Check whether you see the info on hdd model ..

    It is showing. Unless there is 2 hdds which looking at it there clearly isn’t

    Also I have tried to change to legacy in bios because apparently that works but it doesn’t show for me I have also tried to workaround that but it didn’t work either

    From  the picture i clearly see NVMe SSD, so yes you have 2 drives. Is the HDD flex cable connected to the MB? BTW this is the wrong way to open the laptop cover.

    i think I found the problem if you look at the 1st image you see the blue thing and I’m pretty sure that needs to be plugged in I found where but I don’t see how you could plug it in with such little space because the cable it’s connected to is not long but I hope tin works

    Open the HDD cover (it is a separate cover) remove the HDD and the connector, plug the flex cable into MB and put back the connected cable in the hdd hole. Close the bottom cover and then connect the HDD.

    Reset this PC and keep my files
    1. Shutdown the unit. Press and hold alt+F10 key. Then turn ON the unit.
    2. You will get a blue screen. Choose the option troubleshoot.
