Hi, I have an Acer ES 15 Red Laptop, which constantly freezes for no apparent reason under Windows 10 - just 'hangs' and pointer freezes too without moving.
This has been happening for ages on an otherwise super laptop for me!
The wifi also keeps failing - can be processing away using internet via wifi connection when suddenly all contact is lost and no choices at bottom right of taskbar except Flight Mode!
I have troubleshot many times, even recovered/restored system (but keeping all folders etc) yet above issues continue!
Do I HAVE to buy a new one - I love this pc, but these issues are really irritating!0 -
Hi holmroad,# Try to get the BIOS page.1. Turn OFF the unit.2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
3. You will be in setup utility page.
4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
7. Your unit will restart by itself.
Check this T/S and post the result. 1 -
Hi and thanks for that - which I've now done!
So what now please?

Hi again, it's happened again since going into the BIOS as instructed - this time laptop ran error routine with a blue display and rebooted itself, unlike previously when I'd had to power off and on again to reboot.
So, sorry back to square one - what shall I do next please?0 -
