Iconia Tab W500 Restore from disk process problems.

I recently purchased recovery disks from Acer for my W500.  They don't work.  When I boot using Win-volUp-power keys with the DVD drive connected and the Recovery Disk 1 in the drive, it tells me to put recovery disk 1 in the drive and do it again.  It doesn't work.

Am I doing something wrong, or what?

    hi

the volume-up key and the Windows buttonheld down.

    • Release the volume-up key and the Windows button once the screen comes on.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the recovery process.

You will be reminded to remove the disc from the optical drive before the tablet reboots.

That's sounds like what I did, but I also hit the power button.  Are you saying to only use the Vol-up and Windows buttons to initiate the process?

I think you have just told me to do what I am already doing.  Like I said in my original post, I hold down the Windows key and the Vol-up key, and then hit the power button.  Even though I already have the DVD drive plugged in, and the recovery DVD in the drive, it tells me to put the recovery DVD in the drive and start the recovery process again.

None of the boot key sequences work.  I can't boot to the bios either...  Is this because I have loaded Windows 8?
