Swift 5 SF514-54T-5030 - It seems my external fan cooler is still running after I have shut down my laptop. I'm not charging my laptop nor the power adapter is plug into my laptop. Please assist, thanks

yep, power on for (probably) one usb port when the laptop is shut down.  My swift has the same and it doesn't have an option in the bios to turn it off (unlike on my thinkpad)....so, if you try another port for your fan, that'll be powerless after you completely shutdown.

The feature gives convenience to those who charge their phone off the laptop. It's really annoying to plug your phone in then close the laptop and start the trip home, only to find when you do get home the phone is still as dead as it was before. Best is to use a different port for anything you don't want running all the time.

    Hi SGUSER,

It is better to unplug it. There may be issue with the external fan.

Yes, the USB port on the left side has an offline charge function, so you can still charge devices off that port when the laptop is shut down. Just use the port on the other side, if possible.

Thanks for your feedback as I'm first time owner of any Acer product. This means it will drain off my battery if I forgot to unplug the device. I have plug in a USB light and indeed the light is always on. Not sure what is the purpose of such a feature in Acer laptop. Asked Acer Care but no answer from them, not helpful.
