    I found this problem too. My acer is swift3 (SF314-57G) keyboard backlight not working. Fn+F8 (sign ''light A'' on the button) is not working but Fn+other F1-7 and F9-11 can working. How can I fix it???

    I have acer swift 3 laptop which I bought in october 2020. Keyboard backlight was working fine but it suddenly stopped working I have tried all the steps in this post but still it isn't fixed. Plz help me with this...

    @Madhusmita we need to know which Swift 3 laptop you have. The model number should be something like SF3xx-xxx-xxxx.

    OK, your SF314-57G has two connectors that go between the keyboard and motherboard, the normal keyboard FFC connector and a backlight FFC connector. Here's a picture:
    The smaller one at the left is for the backlight. My guess is that it has come loose or partially loose and that's why it's not lighting up. Are you still in warranty? If so talk with Acer support and let them fix it, if not how comfortable are you with pulling it apart?

    I have the same issue and I have a Swift 314-57G as well. The backlighting suddenly stopped working. I tried reinstalling drivers but it didn't work. Is there any way to diagnose it without opening it up? It is not under warranty anymore
