Won't connect to printer

Hello everyone
I have recently updated my laptop from Acer Aspire to Acer Aspire.
My HP printer worked fine on the old laptop, but this new one is always showing 'offline'.  Either that, or it can't even talk to it by wifi or USB.
Do I need to invest in a new printer too or is this just a quick tweak or a box unticked to sort it??
Thanks in advance for any help or advice!!

You need to download the HP printer driver from this site. Enter your full HP printer model number. For example hp deskjet 2634.  Jack E/NJ

Printer offline error is quite common now.

You can check the below steps to fix your offline error if you haven't purchased the new printer, but if you have, do share the new model name :P

    • Make sure paper is loaded in your printer tray and turn on your printer.
    • Download and open HP Print and Scan Doctor then follow the instruction appear on the screen for installation.
    • After complete installation selects your printer from the welcome screen and runs diagnostics."

There are more ways which you can try to get your printer back online like
    • Manually IP connection
    • USB connection
    • Wireless Connection
    • Ethernet cable connection

For more detail, you can check the HP support article here.

I know it is frustrating to go through each step,
The funny part is I would go for the new one because of the new laptop :D
