my Predator 500 by trying to rollback Nvidia drivers and I don't know how to fix it now

I don't even know what I did wrong.
I was using the latest nvidia driver 466.27 but this driver was making my games crash within minutes so I was forced to go back to 466.11. However the option "rollback" in the device manager was grayed out, so I downloaded the driver manually from here:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx

Then I installed DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), disabled wi-fi and booted into safe mode. Then I wiped the nvidia driver, restarted my laptop and tried to install the previous driver. To no avail. I get an error saying something like "this driver is not supported by your windows version, this driver could not find any compatible GPU". And my RTX 2080 Max-Q is gone from the device manager, it's not even visible as hidden, it's gone completely.

I tried using windows restore point from 2 days ago - it said the system has been restored successfully and welp, files has been indeed, but my GPU is still missing, and nvidia experience and nvidia panel are still missing as well.

Next I tried recovering my system with a backup I created with AOMEI just before trying this whole process with DDU. Surprisingly it didn't fix the problem either, the GPU still missing. Did I just destroyed my laptop?

    The key problem seems to be that the GPU is not detected at all which makes it impossible to install any driver for it.

    Try this driver for your RTX2080 and not the DCH driver or try the "Standard" driver from your above link;
    Version:466.27  WHQL
    Release Date:2021.4.29
    Operating System:Windows 10 64-bit
    Language:English (US)
    File Size:669.66 MB

    Its impossible that you have damaged your gpu by what you have done, if all fails, then backup your system and do a clean install of Win-10.

    HAHAHAHA it fixed ITSELF while my laptop was turned OFF during last night. I did NOTHING and it nvidia panel, nvidia geforce and the latest driver magically reappeared on its own. Btw I did try the standard drivers before but it wasn't working either.

    Is it really possible to damage hardware by using software?

    Now I just have to wait for Nvidia to fix their buggy driver since rollbacking is not possible.

    For Many months (8-9) I couldn't download updates on my PH-2018 I tried everything to rebuild windows update manager, The whole process of deleting restoring many times ,I couldn't  not stop it from running (Manually stop) to fix it, and one day I just see win10 updates available. I couldn't believe my eyes! I was able to update OS and all updates for the newest win 10 Ver.
