Hey guys I have a gtx 1050 2gb in my orion 3000 and I'm looking to upgrade, the current card isn't powered by the PSU, it gets it's power from the PCIE slot, i've been told by a few people the factory PSU has a gpu power cable but I can't see it when I look?.

Also is getting a 1650 4gb worth it compared to the 1050 2gb seeing as the 1650 is powered by the PCIE
or should I save up some more $$  and buy a 1080 and a PSU if mine doesn't have a gpu power cable

Check the power budget on the new card (I'm a bit confused, are you trying to upgrade to a 1050, or upgrade from a 1050?) NVIDIA has power budget specs for each of their cards. To drive it off the PCIe slot you need to be under 75W. The PO3-600 models came with different size PSUs depending on which GPU was installed. I'm guessing you have a 300W, but check to be sure. The larger supplies do have wiring for external GPU power.
