Hello, I’m planning to upgrade the psi on my P03-600 and I’m very confused by the whole 12vo thingy for me it seems to be a normal psu that you can buy in a pc shop without any preparations just get the old out and put the new in right?

Pretty much yes, any ATX supply will work. As GB suggests some manufacturers play a little loose with the ATX spec for size, but most are using the same physical size as everyone else.

There are two types of 12v PSUs some of them use non standard connectors / pins . How many pins are on the main connector?

The PO3-600 models use the older styles ATX power supply, the PO3-620 models use the newer ATX12VO style.

Just count how many pins the connectors have. Oh, and make sure that the PSU fits inside the case. Some are longer or taller than what you have now.
