I have Acer A715-42G, I am trying to boot to OS installed on external SSD but it doesn't show up.

The external SSD has linux installed in it (not bootable iso one, proper installation). The SSD doesn't show up in boot menu. I have tried converting it from MBR to GPT but still doesn't show up. Please help.

Also I can boot to it from my PC which also has UEFI bios type only.

SATA mode only available option is AHCI only (as required).

I fixed it, after converting disk to GPT, I had to install Linux to it again. It works now.

I'd recommend you go into BIOS and make sure you have set the SATA mode of the SSD to AHCI. If it's already configured that way, try swapping between the SATA modes and see if the SSD will pop up in the boot priority options.

You can easily allocate the unallocated part of your SSD using these MS guidelines on extending volumes.

Hope this helps you! Keep me posted with the troubleshooting!
In SATA mode only option that comes is of AHCI only.

Also I just need to run the Linux OS from external SSD. Why are you giving me guide to extend volumes?

I'm not certain but it could be related to Secure Boot. Have you disabled Secure Boot from BIOS? I think it has to be, to boot some arbitrary Linux.
