hello, im using the acer nitro 5 an515-55 and I have one monitor connected through hdmi and one through a USB a dongle.

when I connect a monitor with hdmi it works just fine and the same for when connecting it with the dongle. the problem is when they're connected together. if I connect the hdmi first then then the dongle then nothing happens and I only get output to the hdmi. when I connect the dongle first and then the hdmi, the monitor turns off and again I only get output to the hdmi monitor, please help!!!!!

That`s because HDMI is connected to the dGPU and USB ports and eDP port are connected to the CPU/iGPU. Try to connect 2 monitors with 2 USB dongles or you need an active (with build in GPU) USB to HDMI adapter.

You can get advantage from the dGPU of the notebook only via the build-in HDMI output e.g. only one external monitor the second external monitor will be compromise.
