    Hi there and welcome!

There are quite a few posts about aftermarket coolers, so maybe you can take a look at them? Few people replaced the original one with a Noctua. Some have even changed the original 92mm fans with quieter ones.

12 Gb of RAM? Is that a typo or do you have 4 + 8 Gb (or 4 + 4 + 4)? If you have 12 Gb, please check at what speed the RAM is running. Go to Windows Task Manager => Performance leaf => Memory leaf. It should say something like 2133, 2400 or 2666 MHz under "Speed".

If you do have 12 Gb of RAM and running at lower than 2666, you can gain some performance by having two DDR4-2666MHz sticks. But before anyone can make any recommendations, we need to know what you have now.

Unfortunately buying faster RAM like DDR4-3200 doesn't help. Your CPU i5-10400f supports 2666 speed and the OEM motherboard doesn't support faster RAM than that. Furthermore the motherboard BIOS is pretty basic and there is no overclocking support or XMP profiles for the RAM.

As for the total amount of RAM, I think 16Gb is pretty much all that is needed for gaming.

By the way, at what resolution are you gaming? FullHD (1080p) and 60 Hz or something else?

That's good news! Your RAM is being utilized at the max. speed. I'm just a bit surprised about the RAM configuration. Usually prebuilds come with one of the following configurations:
    • one 8 Gb stick
    • one 16 Gb stick
    • two 8 Gb sticks
I don't see that much of a performance uplift by hunting down another 8 Gb stick (replacing 4 Gb with 8 Gb). BTW, did you pay any attention to in which memory slots the memory modules were? I believe they work the best in 2nd and 4th from the CPU.

If you want, you could download Aida64 and run "Cache & Memory Benchmark" under "Tools". Here's just an example of the results from my daily driver.

And if someone with P03-620 would be so kind and run the same test we would have something to compare the results with. Not with mine, but yours. Anyone?

Your GPU should be quite capable at running games at 1080p, although at times with lowered details. All this within reason of course - looks like Cyberpunk  2077 puts even 3090 on its knees! I haven't even bothered trying it with my 3070 and 4K screen. I know it is going to be a lag-fest / slide show!

Also do you have any recommendations for hard drive upgrade? Im looking but seeing a lot of conflicting comments.

It depends on your goals for the drive. If you are looking for speed you need to see which 512GB SSD is installed now. It might be NVMe x2 or NVMe x4. If it's x2 then bumping to a decent x4 will essentially double the throughput. If x4 it likely won't make much difference. If you are looking for more storage, then either a large 3.5" SATA drive (4TB would be at the right price point I think) or a smaller SSD (1TB or 2TB) would be good. If you are going to replace the stock drive I'd go up to 1TB for the SSD just because the prices are decent and you can never have too much storage...

Just to be sure. Is your RAM on 1st and 3rd slots from the CPU? I don't know if it will make any difference if you move them, but this is what the manual says.

Here's a picture how mine came: empty, populated, empty, populated. According to the manual RAM in my box was in right slots. If remember correctly, my AIDA64 memory read was around 22K. Could someone run the same benchmark?
