I have tried several bios flashes to try and configure a new 1TB HDD.  The Veriton M480G system can only see up to a 450gb HDD.  When I attach it through the SATA port, it does not appear in windows.  When I attach it through the USB, it formatted it into two 450GB partitions or drives.

have you tried latest BIOS? P01.B3

Yes, that is the one I am using now. The original was P01.A3, then I tried P02.A2 and it would not load through DOS or Windows, then I loaded the P01.B3.  That is what is loaded now.  It still only formats the 1TB HDD into 2 450 GB HDDs.
