Acer H5360 DLP projector display problem

69 hours on OEM lamp. Display shows hundreds of black pixels in broken lines, some fade after warm up, but most stay visible. Thought the lamp was faulty, so changed it for a new one. Black pixels just as bad. OK, where do I go from here? Anything user serviceable or is it a problem elsewhere in the projector? Would be grateful for any thoughts.

What are you attaching to it? DVD Player or Comptuer? If you take the projector out of the picture, does the same issue happen on a regular monitor or TV?

Hi there - thanks for responding so quickly.

I have the same problem on both DVD (HDMI) and MacBook.  No problem with either source connected to another display

When nothing is connected to the projector and the black Acer intro screen is displayed, there are also about 10 clusters of white pixels, a bit like a night sky.

This problem was identical for original OEM lamp and the replacement lamp, which is also OEM.

    Thanks!

    Good day

Its the DMD Chip that is faulty and that component of the projector carries a 5 year warranty from date of purchase. Dont give yourself a headache, take the unit into your closest Ace repair centre for a warranty repair.
