Hi,

I recently purchased an Acer Aspire V3-571G from 'Very' Online store, the laptop cost £399 which is ok i suppose but what i got was very different, the model says aspire V3-571G  but below is the extras i got.

The Description Said i5-3210M , I got i5 3-230M.

The Description Said Dvd/Rw, i got a Blu-ray Combo

The Description said Intel HD4000 Graphics, i got Geforce Gt640 2GB Dedicated Graphics.

Im not complaining about the huge upgrade but, can someone help me with the exact model number, IE after the 571G  and all my programs, 'cpuid, everest' are showing 4 Ram slots, please help with the exact model and wether this can be upgraded to 16gb..

Thank You

Jason

Hi... i owne a very similar model (471G). The CPU-z, ALWAYS show 4 ram slots... even in desktop motherboards with only 2 slots... so don´t believe that information.

If i´m not mistaken, in the back of the notebook, you have 4 screws that hold a door to check the memory and hard drive. For make yourself sure about what can you do, yo should open it and see...

Hi, yeah i checked the ram slots already, there are only 2, but i checked info on the 3230M chip running at 2.6ghz and was led the impression that that is the newest release i5 chip and the mobo for this chip has 4 ram slots, 2 as where you say and 2 under the keyboard like HP models but im not going there unless i know that for sure and the only way 2 know 4 sure is to find the exact model and i cant find it anywhere.

    Thanks

The HP model with memory in both sides of the motherboard, is new to me.

I don´t think that anyone else do that kind of design, because its expensive...

Have you found the repairing manual? For my model, the memory is only at the back side... and i´m pretty sure that should be the same for your notebook...

Maybe, some ferrari model have that kind of things... but i doubt it

Yeah, i was surprised about the HP having ram slots on both sides of the mobo, but anyway what i tried was to do what you said and removed the back plate and found 1 x 8gb ram in the bottom slot, which is strange as 1x8gb ddr3 is expensive, anyway i done this yestaday and ordered a next day 1 x 8gb from amazon at the same speed, thanks

    Hello, can anyone help me?

I have a eMachines E442 Laptop and would like to make it run a little faster, I've done the basics such as defragment the disc etc but hasnt helped massively!

I'd like to reset my machine to the factory standard (out of the box) settings deleting all un-needed items on the laptop and effectively starting again, any tips on how to do this?

    Regards

    Ben.
