Dear Community!

I have a problem with my Acer Icona W700. Always if i'm logging out (only then) appears a white stripe in the middle of the tablet. It's like a mirror! Have a look at the picture..Foto.JPG

I've tried everything (3 different versions of Windows, the newest drivers etc..).

Any advices for me?

Just for record: I'm from switzerland... so sorry for my bad english. I hope you willl understand it Smiley Happy

    Hi,

I have exactly the same problem!

I reinstalled a clean Win 8 Pro yesterday to save some discspace, and after the tablet goes into hibernation and I wake it up, it looks as in your picture. Disturbing!!

Got the newest driver for graphics but it doesn't seem to help. What to do??

It looks like the bottom part of the screen becomes a copy of the top part, but it is still possible to access items in the part of the screen that isn't shown. If I swipe from the right ta activate the charm-bar, I can only see the two (and a half!) top-most charms, but if I touch the screen at the bottom, where "settings" would be, I get to the  settings-screen. It seems do be only the presentation of the picture that is wrong, the actual functions are still there and working.

Any solutions? Suggestions? (I cannot revert back to the original installation since I deliberately removed all partitions in order to get a clean installation and save some discspace...DOH!)

    /Martin

Hmm...I think I might have solved the problem... Smiley Happy

I hadn't tried to install in UEFI-mode, I did that and now it is working like a charm, no screenproblems! (for now at least - fingers crossed!)

    I used these two instructions:

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/15458-uefi-bootable-usb-flash-drive-create-windows.html

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2328-uefi-unified-extensible-firmware-interface-install-windows-8-a.html

And now it seems to work! I'm a happy camper again!! Smiley Happy
