Iconia W510 doesn't recognize dock battery

Hi, I recently got a new Iconia w510 with a keyboard dock (it was off of ebay if this is relevant).  Everything seems to be well, except that the tablet doesn't seem to recognize the battery in the dock.  

 

As in, normally, the battery meter in the system tray on the windows 8 desktop will indicate that there are two batteries present and display percentages for both of them, my system will only display a single battery.  Furthermore, this battery seems to last about 9hours, not the 18 hours I expected.

 

I searched the forums and couldn't find anything about this.  Does anyone have any idea about this issue?

1) In user's manuel, p.29: The additional internal battery is not available in all models of the keyboard dock

 

2) Clean plugs on dock and tablet

 

3) Make an update of drivers/firmware/BIOS on Support & Drivers

Does the led in the upper left corner of the keyboard turns red when you plug in the charger?
