BIOS Update frequently asked questions

I've attempted to flash my bios this failed to complete correctly.  I now am facing a blackscreen on power on.

I've attempted to reflash the drive using the same bios as the previous version and the FN+ESC command but i'm having little success in this method I suspect the bios name on the file i'm using is not exactly correct

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out by providing me the correct name of the file

Computer : Acer Aspire 5745G - 7744G50MNKS

File Nmae Format for the Fd File : ZR7X64EC.FD

Is the name correct, if not what is the correct name for the file and the formating of said name.

Thanks

Try this zip if you haven't already.

    Thanks for the reply Jacke.

    I figured it out.

Format your usb stick as fat32

You have to rename the file from ZR7X64.fd to ZR7X.fd

place take out the battary from your laptop and remove the power

place the usb stick into a usb port hold down the FN+ESC keys together plug in the power and while continuing to hold the keys down turn the power on

continue to hold the keys down until the user and harddrive start to working

release the fan will spin up to full strength

leave it for 7minutes the pc will power down and then reboot up with a working bios
