wifi not working

I bought my laptop model aspire ultrathin v5-571 dos type 3 days ago and my laptop's wifi is not working from the beginning. I loaded win 7 pro 64 bit on it . I installed all the latest drivers d/l from acer site and dvd. The wifi is never switched on although launch manager shows wifi to be on only before closing launch manager. But after relaunching the manager the wifi is ahown to be off.
The wifi does not detect any devicces nor connects
On troubleshooting it shows that the wireless capability is turned off .
I am Currently using atheros drivers
I have tried broadcom drivers but it is not supported on my machine.

not sure what you mean "dos type" ?

 

sounds like you may have a wireless card hardware issue, call for service with Acer
