Hi,

When I turn on the computer I get a white screen which turns off white after a while. Got it checked and its a bad LCD/video cable. I notice another post with the same problem. The computer shop I am dealing with basically say that they cannot find the cable and asked me to get in touch with Acer.

How does one order a part from Acer in the US? The webpage does not recognize my computers SNID number because I am trying to access the US webpage and I bought the laptop in India. It doesn't make sense for me to contact customer support in India and order the part from there!!!???

Does anyone know if I can call customer support or order the part on the phone or through the net in the US. Thanks in advance for any help.

The system will not recognize a serial number for an international (non Pan-America) unit on the United States service site.

Send me your contact information, including the serial number, model and any other information on the unit via private message and I'll see if there is something I can assist with.

I don't know why this happens, but I had to have a new screen fitted three months ago and two weeks ago it happened again. When I spoke to Acer their first line of response was that the machine was now out of warranty, when that didn't work with me they agreed to replace the screen again at my place of work. After one week and nothing had happened I called again, they then told me that I had to courier my laptop to Sydney, when that didn't work they again agreed that they would send a technician to me. I have just completed my third call to Acer Service, I had to rant in order to get an apology and some action, now I am told that a technician will contact me. I assume that Acer is driven by sales only, stuff customer support and repeat business!
