Failed Hard Drive With Original Back Up
Hi, Im not daft when it comes to installations and general pc stuff but this one has me baffled, any fix would help me greatly.
I have an acer aspire V3-571G with windows 8, when first purchased brand new it gave me no option for backing up factory defaults to disk, the only option was to a Flash Drive, i never had a 16gb stick handy so i was able to do a Back-up to a 16gb sd card (which it allowed me to do).
To cut a long story short, my hard drive failed completely and i attached a new clean hard drive, Now i know i cant boot from an sd drive to recover factory OS on new drive and cant do Alt and F10 recovery due to obvious reason, so i installed windows 7 on new hard drive and was able to extract Acer Recovery from SD card back up files.
Now here comes my novice side, i read that the recovery partition was on D and labeled ACERDATA so i copied my Sd card to this drive and entered the eRecovery Console manager in the hope i could restore factory settings through the partition recently copied but i get the error, Hard Drive Configuration is Not Set To Factory Default. Restore Aborted, this is the message for all the menus.
Now i didnt really expect it to work, however as the original recovery manager enabled me to back up to an SD drive, there must be a way to get this back up data to install fresh on this new hard drive.
Maybe there more partitions i have to make and get everything exact before it allows me to Restore?
Any Help Please

contact Acer for recovery media
no way to boot from SD
D (ACERDATA) is not recovery partition, which is a hidden partition and bootable
