Network controller driver not found (Acer Aspire V3-571G)

Early one morning I went to get on the internet and the computer stated that there was no internet connection and no driver.  I contacted my internet provider (comcast) and they state that I have internet service and that there shouldn't be an issue unless it is with the computer itself.  What would cause the driver/connection to be there one day and not the next.  I've tried all kinds of things to restore it, and cannot.  I was never given any discs when I purchased the computer, therefore I don't have a recovery disc.  I've tried going into "my computer" recovery, that didn't work.  I've tried so many things and nothing is opening my connection.  When we finally called ACER they wanted me to give them money before I even explained the problem, which is probably something really stupid.  I'm not giving anyone money or letting them access my computer remotely.  The last time that happened, I was hacked and all of my information was stolen.  Never again.  I just need to know how to find the network driver and reestablish the connection.

Try going to control panel...hardware and sound...devices and printers...enter device manager and when it loads go down the list and find Network adapters...either double click the device or right click and there are options to enter and various tabs...you can update the driver etc from there and will also see if it is working correctly etc.

ps...have you tried to "restore to an earlier time" in your settings ?...you may be able to pick a point just prior to when the internet connection problem occured...Control panel...System and security...Action centre...select "restore your computer to an earlier time".
