I have no luck to get the hdmi out working. Send in my W510, but Acer says everything is ok. Tried different drivers, cables and TVs. Is there a trick to get it working?

For me it was the cables. I tried 5 different cables and adapters and only two worked.

Apparently some cables will not reach the connectors inside the micro-hdmi port properly with this tablet.

I tried to reduce the plastic on a cable that should work. Nothing happens. An other adapter, the same.

Think my W510 is faulty, but i don´t want to send it in another time. They will set it back to standard settings and i must set it up once more. It works ok now, fixed the wlan driver and battery time is fine now. But i wanted the W510 because of the hdmi out.

That´s my first and last Acer, driver problems, bad support and poor manufacture quality. Thanks.

For what was essentially a beta box, my problems have been entirely software related, the hardware has been flawless. Of course I have my own keyboard.

Only thing I really miss is a mobile dock that can mount in a car. That every Windows tab mfr must use a proprietary connector is just dumb. Would be nice if all could just drop onto a Malata dock like my G-tab and have HDMI, USB, and RJ45 out, standard power in. A Locking dock would be even better.

When OBD-II came out (something else I use the W510 for) all auto mfrs were required to use the same connector and basic commands/responses & I just leave the bluetooth dongle in place. Can interrogate with w510, Smasung Tab 2.0, and smartphone. Or a laptop if tuning.

Similarly with HDMI, USB, RJ45 (nice but not necessary) and a standard power in, life gets easy and we can concentrate on software.

For the mini-HDMI connector, I just ordered a couple from Amazon and they work fine as does a HDMI>VGA adapter. Can get 1920x1080 resolution on a Dell 24" monitor. Use real monitor, keyboard, and mouse and it acts just like a 2 GHZ desktop.
