Acer Aspire One D255 USB Boot Procedure

Hi-  I think my Acer Aspire One D255 has some kind of virus and does not boot anymore, and does not go past the Windows XP screen.  I have read that the only way to boot is through the USB port, using an external Windows XP USB stick drive.  Can someone please let me know how I can get a USB stick that has Windows XP, so I can boot the computer from this drive?  I would like to know how I can restore my system back, and how I can ensure my data on this computer can be recovered.  Unfortunately when I purchased this Netbook, I did not receive any boot USB stick with Windows XP.

Thanks in advance.

There is a program below that you can download for free with a mini XP program on that you can try to boot from...I`ve not tried this with XP but have done it with windows 7...it enabled me to get my AOD255E back up and running...I`m sorry that I can`t remember the exact process that I went through but it worked for me...I think the program I used was "boot win 7 from hard drive" but there are programs that will also load/force a restore etc...too many to mention...this is a newer version of the disc I used to recover my laptop...you will need to unzip the files to create a disc...
