Acer S7-191 Bluetooth stopped working

Similar to the other issues I see posted here my laptop's bluetooth has stopped working in the past week. The bluetooth settings slider is greyed out and in device manager it does not appear to even have a bluetooth driver installed. I've tried repairing the bluetooth driver, uninstalling the bluetooth driver, reinstalling the bluetooth driver. Rebooting between each option. Same issue, it's just not there and not working. Anything more I should try before returning the laptop as defective?

I'm pretty sure this is not a hardware problem ( check my topics )
I guess you just have to update your bios, just dont uninstall your driver afterr that cause u won't be able to get it work again ! so be sure your driver are up to date before updating the bios !
I'm stuck hope reinstalling windows will solve my problem Smiley Happy I'll do that later in june !

I am having the same issue. Can you elaborate on what Windows updates would have been the cause of this problem? I have tried installing the Bluetooth driver from http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers as well as running repair on the Qualcomm Atheros WLAN and Bluetooth Client Installation Program (which I wasn't able to complete because it asks for an installation disk and the S7 didn't come with disks or a disk drive).

    Does this s7 also use an AR5BW222 ? cause mine is a M5-481 !
I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with any windows update, juste some drivers problem ...
Just had the acer support on the phone and after a restore of the bios settings he told me "I guess the only option is to reinstall windows, it's seems it's a software problem " ... thx acer Smiley Happy

Btw, he spoke to me like if i was a tard, telling me how to go in the bios and what to do event if i told him i was quite competent and that I flashed my bios / reinstall windows / deleted uefi, but I guess he had to try that...

Is there any way to contact the atheros company or something ? they should give us a new driver Smiley Sad
