W700 vs P3 Ultrabook Whats better

Had my W700 for a couple of months now and generally been pleased with it

I see now that Acer are releasing the Aspire P3 ultrabookk that looks almost identical to the w700.

I hear its slightly thinner and lighter which would be a + for me as the w700 is a tad bulky.

Has anyone had first hand experience with it?  What are the pros and cons?

I think it just has a lower resolution screen.

    P3 has lower resolution screen (1366 x 768 vs. 1920 x 1080)

2GB od RAM instead of 4GB

Lower battery life (6hr vs 8hr)

    Less powerful processor (1.4Ghz 3229Y vs 1.9Ghz 3227U)

Correct on the resolution but accordding to the Acer Site:

    • 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i5-3339Y Processor 1.5GHzwith Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.0GHz
    • 4GB of DDR3 On-Board System Memory

Do you know if it has an SD card slot?

The specs were from the european mode which was the only model available at the time. From reading its manual, the P3 does not have a microsd slot.

Being priced the same as the W700 (in the US), this are some huge trade off just for a slightly thinner tablet. (worse screen, less powerful processor, and worse battery life)

From what I've found, the W701 would have a MicroSD slotwhen it comes out. (Although it is still based on Ivy Bridge)

Here are the reviews of both by notebookcheck.net (available in English, German, and some other)

Basically P3 is lighter & slimmer with slightly less powerful processor.

The screen resolution is higher on W700 (FHD vs WXGA), but the screen contrast ratio is higher on P3 (1:1580 vs 1:972).

Generally the performance on the W700 is 15% better than the P3, except for the graphics which is twice as fast as the P3, but the SSD is faster on the P3.

The P3 will get warmer under load compared to the W700, it might be because of the throttling that the W700 suffers from.

The battery life is longer on the W700 (6.5h vs 4.7h in WLAN surfing test).
