I really like this PC but I need to know if the stylus is the same type as Surface Pro.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thank You

Hi, I've posted a similar question

    http://community.acer.com/t5/Notebooks-Netbooks/Who-knows-specs-of-Aspire-R7-Touch-Screen/m-p/88997/highlight/true#M18598

The answer I got from Acer was more on the LCD-screen than the touch-question:

But as they seem to include a capacitive stylus: http://www.cdsparts.com/p-4402-new-genuine-acer-iconia-tab-w700-w700p-angle-free-stylus-pen.aspx I guess, it will not ba a screen with wacom-like pressure-sensitivity.

    Or do I misinterpret?

That's confusing. So it sounds like they're burying in their answer that it supports a pen designed for one of their small tablet computers, and maybe nothing else?

It appears they're referring to this product, given googling the name of that other stylus has very few results - this forum thread being one of the top hits.

    http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Iconia-Tab-Stylus-Capacitive/dp/B0058D35RY/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1374855641&sr=1-1&keywords=acer+stylus

Based on the description and reviews there, it's just another Capacitive Stylus, so any capacitive stylus should do if that particular one will do. Guess someone needs to try one and report back. Or Acer could respond with a real answer.

looking at their on line video on the R7, it looks like a fine tipped stylus, not the bloat tipped ( haptics ) used on I-pads ...

I tried calling Acer, but the run-around makes it clear they don't care to talk with anyone about about product specs .....  so, it must be time to wait for a purchase ....

Besides, it needs a core I-7 ( Haswell ) and a 1 TB hards drive to make it really interesting.

i just returned from best buy to try to answer this very question: the stylus that works with surface pro, note and asus slate DOES NOT work.  all of those have wacom digitizers. i guess n-trig requires something different
