Hey, So I'm gonna update my bios, figured I'll do it here.

http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers

But I'm not really sure which one is mine, and I don't want to download the wrong ones. I have a v5-531, but the 5310/5315 don't have windows 8 drivers so I doubt it's them.. which one should I pick?

Thanks Smiley Happy

Hello, because my wi-fi breaks down every 5minute :/ Heard that updating the bios can fix it.

This not mean that you have problem in  BIOS

I suggest to update the WIFI's driver

Ok I did this using a program made to update drivers, but I'll try it on the site, thanks Smiley Happy

But the problem remains, I don't really know which laptop I should pick, I have v5-531, but that's not on the list.

To know the whole name of your laptop follow this steps :

Click on start then Run then write dxdiag after that a list of your laptop's configuration and all information including its full name will be shown .

    - Also to get to Run case you can simply press  WIN+R

    Awaiting your response

    On the uk download site:

    Select Ultra-thin > Aspire > Aspire V5-531

    Choose appropriate OS and hardware.

    Thanks Smiley Happy

Anyways, one is 226mb, and that one takes 10 hours to download, is there any other place to download them? Smiley Happy

Try a selecting a different site from here:

    http://www.acer.com/worldwide/

UK site has been awful for a few days.

I also tried Sweden and US - awful too.

I have tested my connection and that is fine. Other sites work as expected so I've no idea what the issue is with Acer.

All you can do is keep trying.
