I just bought one today at Walmart for $198.  I thought it seemed too cheap to pass up, but i'm sitting here using it and removing all the bloatware and it's ungodly slow so far.  Maybe i'm spoiled by my EliteBook, but it's pretty horrendous so far.  I'm considering returning it tomorrow if the removal of all the bloatware doesn't make a HUGE difference.

It does what you would expect a netbook would do. For the $198 we paid it's spectacular. If you're expecting full pc or Ultrabook performance it's not going to happen. Two little things to keep an eye out for:

    1. Windows 8 / AMD blue screen crash - this appears to help - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2818604

    2. You may have to update your Broadcom wireless card and/or adjust your wifi router to deal with channel/ frequency hiccups.

Battery, coolness on lap, screen clarity and a few other bonuses. Just the right size for portable computing.

Follow-up - Do call up / chat with Acer tech support first before trying the adjustments above since they also keep track of updates. There are a couple of other reasons for that Blue screen issue they walk you through.
