So, I bought my Acer Aspire S7-391from QVC.They have a good flexpay option which I can afford and an excellent return policy. Don't like it in 30 days - just return it. Sweet! Received it last week. I returned it the following week.
Ugh...I really wanted to love this unit. It's simplicity is beautiful. The power is fantastic. The resolution, I don't even need to wear eyeglasses. The build is solid. The unit is nicely stands out from the "Apple" Orchard of users in Starbucks or any other place. Finally, a unit that isn't in brushed silver, matte black or slate grey-ish in color.
Yes, prior to my purchase - I did do my research. I read all the news, reviews, opinions, blogs, post etc... and regardless, I still made the purchase. But, as soon as I started to experience the "quirks" which where all expressed in the reviews I had read. I thought, "hurry up, time to return it"!
My experience was the double key typing ( I am not the best typer, but nor am I a bad typer - I type like a chicken "hunt and pick".
Another reason for my return was, losing the cursor. When I had placed the cursor where I wanted, it would either move or not react at all.
However, I did not encounter the drop in wifi service. But was very afraid that I would. All the post regarding dropping off wifi, scared me off enough to return it.
Still...after all this...and being without the unit for only the past 4 days, I miss it already. Starting to think, I reacted to fast in returning it.
Is there any consumer out there with an Acer Aspire S7-391, that has not experienced an technical difficulty at all? Any one that has had a positive buyer experience? Not having any quirks with their unit that they purchased?
Again, I am thinking I reacted to fast in returning my S7-391. Honestly, I am thinking about giving it a second chance and getting another one.
